Copper Eye Liner & Bottle Green Eye Shadow make an appearance. The two most ignored colours made a comeback in an unusual sort of way at London Fashion Week 2014. No more smudging and smearing messily with these but they were in fact used to define and bring out the eyes. Both the trends are absolutely wearable for Spring/Summer.
Just dig out a smoked out green or simply mix your favourite green eye shadow with a bit of black shadow on the back of your hand and start shading. Copper liners are easily available from all brands but make sure to opt for a glossy one with good colour payoff for a statement graphic liner.
A handsome, boyish, bushy eye brow look is what dominated the runway with chiselled cheekbones, matte bronzer, polished demi-matte skin and an overall clean, crisp look at London Fashion Week 2014. Icy highlighters made an appearance here and there on the models faces but only where and when required.
A generous amount was at times splashed onto the high points of the cheeks and that’s it. Skin looked like it had just got a winter tan from a Ski trip abroad. Foundations were skipped and concealers & powders dominated the beautifully perfect faces on the runway.
It as all about the Tri-Liner, floating liner & the silver iridescent nude lip at London Fashion Week 2014. If you thought graphic liners were so last season, think again as the trend slowly creeped onto the runway with a bit of a kick. We saw tri-liner looking bold and beautiful on the models paired with feminine hair and a girly attire. Such a great combination!
Tri-liner’s would look great for a night out with the girls – simply line the upper lashline, the lower lashline and add another line under that to complete the look. Lips were mostly played nude for a majority of collections that we witnessed. There were a few usual red lips here and there but for the most part, nude lips sprinkled with a generous dash of silver shimmer caught our eye. Quite a low maintenance yet ethereal look to don!
Hair at London Fashion Week 2014 was usually poker straight paired with an extreme side part, loosely braided into an up-do or down with an undone, effortless hybrid of curls and waves. Corn rows made a come back as a power packed hair statement albeit played around with in a experimental, modern manner. Team corn rows with curls, waves or an updo. Also, you don’t need to cover the entire crown area with a full bunch of corn rows but rather just give it a peek-a-boo sort of appearance.
Deep lips and deep eyes work. Forget balancing dark eyes with a nude lip and vice versa. It’s a no-rule season in 2014 with dark eyes being paired with deep, shimmery mauvey lips. To play it safe, opt for a soft, dewy minty eye teamed with a hint of nude coral on the lips for nude eye, nude lip look. It’s all about matching than complimenting this Spring/Summer.
