A beauty treatment is the ultimate treat so when you get something done you want to ensure that the effects last for as long as possible – because let’s face it you want to make sure you look your best. Facials are a great way of pepping up tired skin; it will clean out your pores, get rid of dead skin cells and can help with any problem areas of your skin. In fact they are perfect for maintaining healthy and young looking skin so your skin will be more resilient after the treatment. But what should you do to keep your skin looking good for as long as possible?
Well the best thing you can do is follow the right cleansing and moisturising regime your beautician will be able to help you select the right regime to follow to suit your skin type so it’s worth listening to their advice as it will really help maintain the results of the facial. It is also really important to exfoliate regularly as this will help slough away any dead skin cells. Simply by having a good skincare regime you can ensure that you still look your best for weeks after your facial.
Waxing your legs and underarms is a great way of keeping them smoother for longer but how do you maintain that freshly waxed feeling. It’s a good idea to exfoliate your body at least once a week but wait until at least four days after you have had them waxed. While lavender or tea tree oil could help soothe any irritation. After 48 hours you can start to use moisturiser that has hair minimising properties to help stop you hair growing back too quickly.
If you have spent a lot of money on getting your hair coloured only to see it fade so what can you do to keep your colour looking fresher for longer? Well one of the biggest culprits that strip your hair has to be water itself – therefore, try not to over wash your hair and when you do make sure you use products for colour treated hair as they work by sealing your hair strands so that you old the dye inside. You also need to watch the temperature of the water you use as hot water can be very stripping so make sure use lukewarm water to preserve your colour.
Also if you are worried about colour fade maybe rethink the red as it is the one colour that tends to fade the quickest. Whereas, brunettes and blondes last for longer making it easier to keep your colour looking great.
So with a simple post beauty treatment regimes mean you can preserve that just stepped out of the salon feeling.
