It seems there is nothing women won’t do to look younger. According to a survey by makeup brand Elizabeth Arden women are prepared to sacrifice a lot in order to turn back the hands of time. They found that a staggering 76 per cent of women would be prepared “to do something extreme” just to look younger – these measures include a third of women who would give up social media for a year, nearly a quarter would get a cosmetic procedure and 21 per cent would give up sex for a year. Most worrying is the fact that nearly half are more concerned with “aging gracefully” than saving for retirement.
However, you don’t have to take extreme measures just to look younger. In fact there are many things you can do that will help your look and feel more youthful. One of the best things you can do for your skin is to protect it from the sun. Both UVA and UVB rays are incredibly damaging to your skin and can age you dramatically. Therefore, instead of giving up sex for a year women can look younger just by covering up in the sun. It’s vital to choose products that contain an SPF of at least 15 to stop your skin looking damaged.
You should also ensure that you keep your skin looking firm and plump by drinking lots of water and eating a varied diet with lots of vitamins and minerals. By doing this you will help your skin replenish itself as well as produce vital collagen. While a good moisturiser (interestingly according to the poll 63 per cent of those surveyed didn’t use anti-aging products on a daily basis) will also help your skin stay looking firm and plump.
But what can you do if you think that the damage has already been done? Do you have to go to extreme measures to look younger? Well no as there are a number of non-invasive procedures that you can have to stay looking youthful and radiant.
One particularly effective treatment is Botox which helps smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. The idea is that a small amount of Botox is injected into lines and wrinkles around the face blocking the nerve impulses and stopping you frowning so keeps lines and wrinkles at bay. While for deeper lines dermal fillers can be used as a way of filling them in.
What’s more there is even no need to go under the knife as instead you can have a CACI non-surgical facelift. It is a non-invasive procedure that helps increase your skin’s collagen production which will instantly make it look fuller and younger. So there really is no need to take drastic measures just for anti-aging.
