Op. Dr Hakan Tekin, MD is Shumaila’s Medical Director and the surgeon who performs our local anaesthesia plastic surgery procedures. He is registered with the General Medical Council (reference 8069947) and has been a licensed plastic and reconstructive surgery specialist for over 18 years.
At Shumaila’s, Dr Tekin reviews every surgical case, decides whether surgery is right for you, and meets you before your surgery day.

Dr Hakan Tekin has been a licensed specialist in plastic and reconstructive surgery for over 18 years, with a background in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. His experience includes tissue-viability and healing work and microsurgery training.
He is registered with the General Medical Council, reference 8069947, which you can check on the GMC’s online register.
How Dr Tekin Looks After You
Every surgical case at Shumaila’s follows the same pathway. Our in-house doctor reviews your consultation and brings your case to Dr Tekin, who decides whether surgery is appropriate for you and sets your plan.
You meet Dr Tekin before your surgery day. On the day, he takes your consent himself, in person, then performs your procedure and sets your aftercare and review plan.

You can meet Dr Tekin online, in a 15-minute video consultation for £30, or face to face, in a 30-minute consultation for £150 on surgery days at Shumaila’s London Medical Clinic, 45 Head Street, Colchester, Essex CO1 1NW.
Our in-house doctor arranges your consultation with Dr Tekin once your first consultation with our team is complete.
