Will the dimple be visible all the time?

Initially, yes. For the first few weeks, the dimple will be visible even when your face is at rest. As it heals and settles, it will flatten out and only appear when you smile, just like a natural dimple.

Can I choose exactly where the dimple goes?

Yes. During your consultation, you and your surgeon will discuss the ideal placement. The surgeon will mark the spot and ensure it aligns with your natural facial anatomy for the most flattering result.

Is the procedure reversible?

Dimpleplasty is intended to be permanent. While it is sometimes possible to partially reverse the procedure by releasing the internal scar tissue, it is difficult to guarantee the cheek will return exactly to its original state.

Can I have just one dimple created?

Absolutely. While most patients opt for symmetrical dimples on both cheeks, we can easily create a single dimple if you prefer an asymmetrical look.

Proper aftercare is essential for a smooth recovery.

Maintain strict oral hygiene by using an antiseptic mouthwash after every meal to prevent infection at the incision site.
Stick to a soft food diet for the first few days to avoid irritating the inside of your cheek or lip.
Avoid excessive facial animation, such as wide smiling or laughing, for the first week.
Do not use straws or smoke, as the suction can disrupt the healing tissue.
