You can’t have HydraFacial done if any of the following conditions apply:
- Pregnant/nursing
- Allergy to shellfish
- Allergy to aspirin or honey
- Strong acne medication within the last 6 months
- Autoimmune disorders (HIV, Lupus, Hepatitis etc.)
- Cancer or History of cancer
- Cold sores within the last month
- Cosmetic injectables within the last 2 weeks
- Recent laser procedure in the treatment area
- Recent deep chemical peels in the treatment area
- Facial waxing within the last 2 weeks
- Retinol products within the last 2 days
- Active eczema or psoriasis on the treatment site
- Open wounds on the treatment site
- Fresh scars on the treatment site
After a HydraFacial treatment, here are a few tips for aftercare.
- Avoid hot environments and heat (saunas, sun beds, intense workouts, hot yoga) for the next 48 hours.
- Avoid swimming pools for the next 48 hours.
- Application of SPF30 (minimum) is essential (but remember, this is ALWAYS essential!)
- Avoid having any aggressive treatments on the HydraFacial treatment area for 2 weeks.
- Avoid using retinol products for 2 days after the treatment.

- Exercise regularly

No, HydraFacial is not a painful treatment and it does not hurt. Some stages in which the skin is deeply cleansed and exfoliated might be slightly uncomfortable, but should not be painful.
