Getting a lash lift
Lash lift, also known as LVL Lashes is a lash perming treatment that sets your natural eyelashes in a lifted upright position making your eyes look more open and youthful.
The treatment takes around 50 minutes and requires no extensions just your natural lashes. During the treatment your natural lashes are lifted from the root upwards, giving you longer and fuller looking lashes for up to 6-8 weeks.

The treatment takes around 50 minutes and requires no extensions just your natural lashes. During the treatment your natural lashes are lifted from the root upwards, giving you longer and fuller looking lashes for up to 6-8 weeks.
At Shumaila’s we follow a 4 step protocol to achieve perfectly lifted lashes, these are:
Step 1: Lift
With all the lashes neatly bonded, a lifting cream is applied which allows the structure and shape of your lashes to change and be lifted at the root
Step 2: Volumise
Once this has been removed, a neutralising cream is applied which seals your lashes into their new shape
Step 3: Tint
A lash tint is then applied which darkens the lashes and adds volume and length
Step 4: Moisturise
Finally, a keratin booster serum is applied to nourish the lashes and ease them off the shield, revealing beautifully healthy, lifted lashes

Lash lift is a low maintenance treatment suitable for everyone that wants to lift their eyelashes upward, it is suitable for people with short or long lashes.
The most dramatic results of lash lift are achieved on people that have super downward pointing eyelashes.
At Shumaila’s during a lash lift treatment your therapist spends 50 mins manipulating each and every one of your eyelash hairs, so they look separated to create volume and length (like in the video above). The lashes are set from their root in the most upright curved position, and your eyelashes stay this way for over a month. In comparison, when using a lash curler, your eyelashes go back to their natural position as soon as you wash them. As well as that, each eyelash is not separated individually, each hair may be criss-crossing or overlapping.
Yes, a patch test is required at-least 48 hours before having your lash lift treatment at Shumaila’s.

Frequently Asked Questions
Before your lash lift appointment:
- Please avoid wearing contact lenses to your lash lift appointment. We recommend either wearing glasses incase you need to drive back home, or bring your contact lens holder with saline solution to put your lenses in during the treatment. You will be able to wear your contact lenses as soon as the treatment is over.
- Please attend your appointment with clean eyelashes and without any mascara
- Make sure you have had a patch test at least 2 days before your appointment, to ensure you are not allergic to the products used.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer lash lift to pregnant clients.
Yes, you can wear mascara 24 hours after your lash lift treatment. We highly recommend it, as it enhances the treatment even more.
After having lash lift, you can wet your eyelashes as normal. You do not need to avoid anything, these are not like eyelash extensions.
You will be given a mascara brush after your treatment. We recommend brushing your lashes often, especially if you get them wet within the first 24 hours of your treatment so they set in a good form and are not clumped together.
No, we do not use any lash extensions or false lashes during lash lift. This treatment is designed only to enhance your own natural lashes.
Lash lift is not a painful treatment, in-fact most of our clients fall asleep during the treatment.
As long as you are not allergic to the products used, lash lift is a very safe treatment to have. You need to have had a patch test at least 2 days before your lash lift appointment, to ensure you are not allergic to the products used.
If done incorrectly your eyelashes can be over-processed, looking burnt and frizzled. But when done correctly the results are beautiful and without any damage caused.
This is a low maintenance treatment so you do not need to avoid anything. As no extensions are used, these are your own lashes treat them how you normally would.
